MATERIALS

4 (5) 31/2oz/100g balls (each approx 250yd/229m) of South West Trading Company Bamboo (bamboo) in #521 sapphire

One pair size 5 (3.5mm) needles or size to obtain gauge

Size E/4 (3.5mm) crochet hook

Cable needle

GAUGE

27 sts and 30 rows to 3.5″/9cm over cable chart using size 5 (3.5mm) needles.

Take time to check gauge.

Row 2 K2, [yo, k2tog] 5 (7) times, work row 2 of cable chart over next 27 sts, kl,  [yo, k2tog] 7 (8) times, work row 2 of cable chart over next 27 sts, kl [yo, k2tog] 5 (7) times, k 1. Row 3 P12 (16), work row 3 of cable chart over next 27 sts, p15 (17), work row 3 of cable chart over next 27 sts, p12 (16). Row 4 K1 [ssk, yo] 5 (7) times, k 1 , work row 4 of cable chart over next 27 sts, [ssk, yo] 7 (8) times, kl, work row 4 of cable chart over next 27 sts, [ssk, yo] 5 (7) times, k2. FINISHING

Block pieces to measurements. Sew 17 (19)”/43 (48)cm of cast-on edge of one rectangle along 17 (19)”/43 (48)cm at side edge of 2nd rectangle.

Edgings Work sc around neck and lower edge, working 1 sc into each st on cast-on and bind-off edges, and working 2 sc for every 3 rows on side edges.
