GAUGE
8 sts = 4"/10cm and 13 rows = 5"/12.5cm over St st using size 15 (9mm) needles. FOR PERFECT FIT, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.
BACK
Cast on 40 (44, 48, 52) sts. Work in garter st for 1.5"/4cm, end with a WS row. Work in St st until piece measures 29.5 (29.5, 29, 28.5)"/75 (75, 73.5, 72.5)cm from beg, end with a WS row. Dec row (RS) K2, SSK, k to last 4 sts, k2tog, k2—38 (42, 46, 50) sts. Work even until piece measures 37 (37, 36.5, 36)"/94 (94, 92.5, 91.5)cm from beg, end with a WS row. SHOULDER SHAPING
Bind off 2 (3, 4, 4) sts at beg of next 2 rows, 3 (4, 4, 5) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Place rem 14 (14, 16, 16) sts on holder for hood.
Pocket linings (make 2)
Cast on 12 (14, 14, 14) sts and work in St st for 7"/18cm, place sts on holder.
LEFT FRONT
Cast on 22 (24, 26, 28) sts. Work in garter st for 1.5"/4cm, end with a WS row. Work 3 sts at front edge (end of RS rows, beg of WS rows) in garter st and rem sts in St st until piece measures 29.5 (29.5, 29, 28.5)"/75 (75, 73.5, 72.5)cm from beg, end with a WS row. Insert pocket

Armhole shaping
Shape armhole at side edge only as for back—14 (16, 18, 19) sts. Work even until armhole measures 8 (8, 8.5, 9)"/20.5 (20.5, 21.5, 23)cm, end with a WS row.
Neck and shoulder shaping
Next row (RS) Bind off 2 (3, 4, 4) sts at beg of row, work to end. Next row Place first 5 sts on holder, work to end. Next row Bind off 3 (4, 4, 5) sts at beg of row, work to end. Bind off rem 4 (4, 5, 5) sts.
RIGHT FRONT
Work as for left front, reversing all shaping.
FINISHING
Block all pieces to measurement. Sew shoulder seams.
Hood
With RS facing, including 5 sts from holder, pick up 12 sts evenly around right neck, 14 (14, 16, 16) sts from back neck holder, 12 sts around left neck including 5 sts from holder – 38 (38, 40, 40) sts. Cont to work first and last 3 sts in garter st, work rem sts in St st for 3 rows. Next row (RS) Work 17 (17, 18, 18) sts, inc 1 st in next st, k2, inc 1 st in next st, work to end—40 (40, 42, 42) sts. Work 7 rows even. Next row (RS) Work 18 (18, 19, 19) sts, inc 1 st in next st, k2, inc 1 st in next st, work to end—42 (42, 44, 44) sts. Pocket trim
Pick up 12 (14, 14, 14) sts from pocket holders. Work in garter st for 1"/2.5cm. Bind off. Sew sides of garter trim to fronts. Sew pocket linings in place on WS.
