DEC 1: At beginning of RS rows K1, SSK. At end of RS rows K2tog, K1.
INC 1: At beginning of RS rows K1, M1. At end of RS rows M1, K1.
STITCH KEY:
- Blank square: Knit on RS, purl on WS
- V in square (WS): Sl 1 purlwise with yarn at WS of work
- V in square (RS): Sl 1 purlwise with yarn at RS of work

BACK
With larger needle and A, cast on 91 (101, 111, 121, 131, 141, 151). Purl 1 row. Row 1 (RS): With B, k1 (edge stitch), work Chart to last stitch, k1 (edge stitch). Continue in pattern, keeping edge stitches in stockinette until piece measures 11.5 (12, 12.5, 13, 13.5, 14, 14.5)", end with a WS row.
Shape armholes: At beginning of second RS row and following WS row, bind off 17 (17, 19, 19, 20, 20, 22) — 57 (67, 73, 83, 91, 101, 107) stitches. Work even until armhole measures 7.5 (8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5)", end with a WS row. Bind off.
LEFT FRONT
With larger needle and A, cast on 45 (50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75). Purl 1 row. Row 1 (RS): With B, k1 (edge stitch), work Chart to last stitch, k1 (edge stitch). Work as for Back to armhole.
Shape armhole: Shape armhole at beginning of RS rows as for Back — 28 (33, 36, 41, 45, 50, 53) stitches. Work even until armhole measures 2", end with a WS row.
Shape front neck: [Dec 1 at end of next row, work 3 rows] 15 (16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22) times — 13 (17, 19, 23, 26, 29, 31) stitches. Work even until armhole measures same length as Back to shoulder. Bind off.
RIGHT FRONT
Work same as Left Front EXCEPT reverse shaping. Bind off for armhole at beginning of WS row. Shape neck at beginning of RS rows.
SLEEVES
With larger needle and A, cast on 51 (51, 51, 61, 61, 61, 71). Purl 1 row. Row 1 (RS): With B, k1 (edge stitch), work Chart to last stitch, k1 (edge stitch). [Inc 1 each side next RS row, work 11 (11, 7, 11, 7, 7, 7) rows] 4 (18, 2, 12, 3, 13, 7) times, then [Inc 1 each side next row, work 15 (0, 11, 15, 11, 11, 11) rows] 10 (0, 17, 5, 16, 9, 13) times — 79 (87, 89, 95, 99, 105, 111) stitches. Work even until piece measures 19.5 (19.5, 19.5, 20, 19, 19, 19)". Mark each side of last row for sleeve cap.
Shape cap: Work even for 3 (3, 3.5, 4, 4, 4)", end with a WS row. Bind off.
FINISHING
Block pieces. Sew shoulder seams. Set in sleeves, matching markers to beginning of armhole bind-off. Sew side and sleeve seams.
COLLAR
Mark position of buttonholes on Right Front, with first buttonhole 0.5" below beginning of neck shaping and second buttonhole 3.5" below first. With RS facing, smaller needle and A, starting at lower Right Front corner, pick up and knit (PUK) along front and neck edges at the following rates: 3 stitches for every 5 rows along vertical edges, 2 stitches for every 3 rows along diagonal edges, and 1 stitch for every bound-off stitch. Count stitches and adjust to an odd number on next row if necessary. Place markers on each side at beginning of neck shaping. Row 1 (WS): [K1, p1] to last stitch, k1. Row 2 (RS): Working in rib, make 5-stitch buttonhole at each marked position. Continue in rib until piece measures 1", end with a WS row. Next row (RS): Work in rib to last marker (at left front neck), W&T. Next row (WS): Work in rib to last marker (at right front neck), W&T. Continue working short rows, working 2 fewer stitches each row 20 (16, 14, 10, 6, 2, 0) times, then working 4 fewer stitches each row 10 (14, 16, 20, 24, 28, 30) times. Next row (RS): Work to end, hiding wraps. Next row (WS): Work to end, hiding wraps. Bind off.
LOWER EDGING
With RS facing, smaller needle and A, PUK along lower edge at the rate of 1 stitch for every cast-on stitch and 2 stitches for every 3 rows. Bind off. Repeat for each sleeve. Sew on buttons.
