FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:

Bust: 42.5 (45, 48.5, 51, 54.5, 57)", buttoned.

Length: 23 (23.5, 24, 24.5, 25, 25.5)".

INC 1:

At beginning of RS rows: Work 1 in pattern, M1.

At end of RS rows: M1, work 1 in pattern.

BACK:

With larger needles, cast on 112 (120, 128, 136, 144, 152) sts.

Set-up row (WS): K1, [p1, k1] 1 (3, 5, 7, 9, 11) times, place marker (pm), p1, [(k1, p1) 3 times, p2, (p1, k1) 3 times, p1] 7 times, pm, k1, [p1, k1] 1 (3, 5, 7, 9, 11) times.

Begin Charts: Row 1 (RS) Work Chart A to marker, work Chart B to marker, work Chart A to end. Continue in pattern until piece measures 14.5 (14.5, 15, 15, 15.5, 15.5)", end with a WS row.

Shape armholes:

At beginning of every row, bind off 6 (7, 8, 9, 10, 11) twice, 2 stitches 8 (8, 8, 6, 6, 6) times, then 1 stitch 6 (6, 6, 10, 10, 10) times — 78 (84, 90, 96, 102, 108) stitches. Work even until armhole measures 7.5 (8, 8, 8.5, 8.5, 9)", end with a WS row.

Shape shoulders:

At beginning of every row, bind off 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7) stitches 8 (2, 8, 2, 8, 2) times, then 0 (6, 0, 7, 0, 8) stitches 0 (6, 0, 6, 0, 6) times. Bind off remaining 38 (38, 42, 42, 46, 46) stitches in pattern.

LEFT FRONT:

With larger needles, cast on 60 (64, 68, 72, 76, 80) sts.

Set-up row (WS): P1, [p1, k1] 4 times, p2, pm, p1, [(k1, p1) 3 times, p2, (p1, k1) 3 times, p1] 3 times, pm, k1, [p1, k1] 1 (3, 5, 7, 9, 11) times.

Row 2 (WS) P1, work Chart A over 9 stitches, p1, work Chart B to marker, work Chart A to end. Continue in pattern until piece measures same length as Back to armhole, end with a WS row.

Shape armhole:

Shape armhole at beginning of RS rows as for Back — 43 (46, 49, 52, 55, 58) stitches. Work even until armhole measures 5.5 (6, 6, 6.5, 6.5, 7)", end with a RS row.

Shape neck:

At beginning of WS rows, bind off 11 stitches once, 3 stitches 2 (2, 3, 3, 3, 3) times, 2 stitches 2 (2, 2, 2, 3, 3) times, then 1 stitch 2 (2, 1, 1, 1, 1) time(s) and AT SAME TIME, when piece measures same length as Back to shoulder, shape shoulder at beginning of RS rows as for Back.

RIGHT FRONT:

With larger needles, cast on 60 (64, 68, 72, 76, 80) sts.

Set-up row (WS): K1, [p1, k1] 1 (3, 5, 7, 9, 11) times, pm, p1, [(k1, p1) 3 times, p2, (p1, k1) 3 times, p1] 3 times, pm, p2, [k1, p1] 4 times, p1.

Begin Charts: Row 1 (RS) Sl 1, work Chart A over 9 stitches, sl 1, work Chart B to marker, work Chart A to end.

Row 2 (WS) Work Chart A to marker, work Chart B to marker, work Chart A to end.

Row 5 (RS) Buttonhole row: Sl 1, work 7, yo twice, k2tog, sl 1, work in pattern to end.

Next row: Work in pattern to double yo; work into front and back of yo, maintaining pattern and dropping extra yo; work to end. Continue as for Left Front EXCEPT reverse shaping. Shape neck at beginning of RS rows. Shape shoulder at beginning of WS rows.

SLEEVES:

With larger needle, cast on 46 (46, 46, 50, 50, 50) sts.

Set-up row (WS): K1, [p1, k1] 7 (7, 7, 8, 8, 8) times, pm, p1, [k1, p1] 3 times, p2, [p1, k1] 3 times, p1, pm, [k1, p1] 7 (7, 7, 8, 8, 8) times, k1.

Row 1 (RS): Work Chart A to marker, work Chart B over center 16 stitches to marker, work Chart A to end. Continue in pattern and AT SAME TIME, Inc 1 each side every 8 (6, 6, 6, 6, 4) rows 6 (3, 8, 9, 15, 4) times, every 10 (8, 8, 8, 8, 6) rows 6 (11, 7, 6, 1, 13) times — 70 (74, 76, 80, 82, 84) stitches. Work even until piece measures 18.5 (18.5, 18, 18, 17.5, 17)", end with a WS row.

Shape cap:

At beginning of every row, bind off 6 (7, 8, 9, 10, 11) stitches twice, 2 stitches 8 (8, 8, 6, 6, 6) times, then 1 stitch 6 (4, 4, 10, 10, 6) times. [Work 2 rows even. Bind off 1 at beginning of next 2 rows] 1 (3, 3, 3, 3, 5) times. At beginning of every row, bind off 2 stitches 6 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2) times, 3 stitches twice, then 4 stitches 0 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2) times. FINISHING:

Block. Sew shoulder seams.

Collar:

With RS facing and smaller needle, pick up and knit along neck edge at the following rates: 3 stitches for every 4 rows along vertical edges and 1 stitch for every bound-off stitch, placing marker at each shoulder seam.

Next row (WS): Sl 2, [p1, sl 1] to last 3, p1, sl 2. Next row: P2, [k1, p1] to last 3, k1, p2. Bind off in pattern.

Set in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew on button.
