To fit X-Small (Small, Medium, Large, X-Large). Directions are for smallest size with larger sizes in parentheses. If there is only one figure, it applies to all sizes.

MATERIALS
Original Yarn:
- 7 (8, 8, 9, 9) 3.5oz/100g balls (each approx 137yd/125m) of Cascade Iceland (wool 5) in #253 red (A)
- 6 (7, 7, 8, 8) 1.75oz/50g balls (each approx 164yd/150m) of Cascade Color Kid (mohair/acrylic 3) in #148 red (B)
Substitute Yarn:
- 11 (13, 13, 14, 14) 1.75oz/50g balls (each approx 88yd/80m) of Filatura Di Crosa/Tahki Stacy Charles, Inc. Luna (wool 5) in #223 red
- 6 (6, 6, 7, 7) 1.75oz/50g balls (each approx 192yd/175m) of Filatura Di Crosa/Tahki Stacy Charles, Inc. Butterfly (mohair/acrylic 5) in #408 red
- One pair size 15 (10mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

GAUGE
10 sts and 16 rows to 4"/10 cm over seed st using size 15 (10 mm) needles and 1 strand each A and B held tog. FOR PERFECT FIT, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.
SEED STITCH (any number of sts)
Row 1 (RS): *K1, p1; rep from * to end.
Row 2: K the purl sts and p the knit sts.
Rep rows 1 and 2 for seed st.
BACK
With size 15 (10 mm) needles and 1 strand each A and B held tog, cast on 54 (58, 62, 68, 72) sts. Work in seed st for 27.5 (27.5, 28, 28, 28.5)"/70 (70, 71, 71, 72.5)cm, end with a WS row. Next row (RS): Bind off 13 (15, 16, 19, 21) sts, work 28 (30, 30, 30, 30) sts and place on a holder, bind off rem 13 (15, 16, 19, 21) sts.
FRONT
Work as for back until piece measures 26 (26, 26.5, 26.5, 27)"/66 (66, 67, 67, 68.5)cm from beg, end with a WS row.
Neck shaping
Next row (RS): Work 18 (20, 21, 24, 26) sts, sl center 18 (18, 20, 20, 20) sts to a holder, join 2nd balls of yarn and work to end. Working both sides at once, bind off from each neck edge 3 sts once, 2 sts once. When same length as back, bind off rem 13 (15, 16, 19, 21) sts each side for shoulders.
SLEEVES
With size 15 (10mm) needles and 1 strand each A and B held tog, cast on 26 (26, 26, 26, 27) sts. Work in seed st, inc 1 st each side (working inc sts into pat) every 8th (8th, 8th, 8th, 6th) row 7 (7, 8, 8, 9) times — 40 (40, 42, 42, 45) sts. Work even until piece measures 16.5"/42cm from beg. Bind off all sts.
FINISHING
Block pieces to measurements. Sew one shoulder seam.
Collar
With RS facing, size 15 (10mm) needles and 1 strand each A and B held tog, work 28 (28, 30, 30, 30) sts from back neck holder in seed st as established, pick up and k 6 sts along left front neck, work 18 (18, 20, 20, 20) sts from front neck holder in seed st as established, pick up and k 6 sts along right front neck — 58 (58, 62, 62, 62) sts. Cont in seed st for 8"/20.5cm. Bind off in pat. Sew 2nd shoulder and collar seam. Place markers 8 (8, 8.5, 8.5, 9)"/20.5 (20.5, 21.5, 21.5, 23)cm down from shoulder seams on front and back for armholes. Sew top of sleeves between markers. Sew side and sleeve seams.
