To fit Small (Medium, Large). Directions are for smallest size with larger sizes in parentheses. If there is only one figure, it applies to all sizes.
KNITTED MEASUREMENTS

MATERIALS
- 7 (7, 8) 1 3/4oz/50g skeins (each approx 55yd/50m) of Berroco, Inc. Pronto (cotton/acrylic) in #4437 yellow
- Size 13 (9mm) circular needle, 24"/60cm long
- Size 10 1/2 (6.5mm) circular needle, 16"/40cm long
- Stitch holders and markers
GAUGE
10 sts and 16 rnds = 4"/10cm over seed st pat using larger needle. FOR PERFECT FIT, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.
Note: When combining the options to make a different version, be sure to adjust yarn amounts accordingly.
SEED STITCH PATTERN
(over an even number of sts)
Rnd 1 *K1, p1; rep from * around. Rnd 2 *P1, k1; rep from * around. Rep rnds 1 and 2 for seed st.
Note: Sweaters are worked in rnds to the armhole, then back and forth in rows to the shoulders.
BODY
With larger circular needle, cast on 86 (90, 98) sts. Join and work in rnds of seed st for 3 rnds. Next (dec) rnd *Sl 1, p2tog, psso, work seed st over 40 (42, 46) sts, pm; rep from * around—82 (86, 94) sts. Work 3 rnds even. Next (dec) rnd *Sl 1, p2tog, psso, work seed st to marker; rep from * once. Rep last 4 rnds 4 times more—62 (66, 74) sts. Work 9 rnds even. Next (inc) rnd Work 2 sts in first st (inc), work seed st to 1 st before marker, work 2 sts in each of next 2 sts, work seed st to end, work 2 sts in last st—66 (70, 78) sts. Work 3 rnds even. Rep last 4 rnds 5 times more—86 (90, 98) sts. Work even until piece measures 15"/38cm from beg.
ARMHOLE SHAPING
Next row (RS) K2tog tbl, work to 3 sts before marker, k1, k2tog, turn. Working back and forth on these 41 (43, 47) sts for back only, cont as foll: Next row (WS) K2, p2tog, work to last 4 sts, p2tog, k2. Cont with k2 selvage sts each side, dec 1 st each side every other row 3 times more—33 (35, 39) sts. Work even until armhole measures 6 3/4 (7, 7 1/2)"/17 (18, 19)cm. Place sts on a holder.
FRONT
Rejoin yarn to sts for front and work as for back until armhole measures 4 3/4 (5, 5 1/2)"/12.5 (12.5, 14)cm.
NECK SHAPING
Next row (RS) Work 9 (10, 12) sts, place center 15 sts on a holder for neck, join 2nd ball of yarn and work to end. Working both sides at once, dec 1 st each side of neck every other row 4 times—5 (6, 8) sts each side. Leave sts on a holder.
FINISHING
Block lightly to measurements. Weave tog 5 (6, 8) shoulder sts from holders each side using Kitchener st or knit them tog. Sew side seams.
NECKBAND
With larger circular needle, pick up and k 50 sts evenly around neck edge, including sts from holders. Join and work in rnds of seed st for 5 rnds. Change to smaller circular needle and work 7 more rnds of seed st. Bind off loosely.
