Sized for X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large and shown in size Medium. Directions are for smallest size with larger sizes in parentheses. If there is only one figure, it applies to all sizes.

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS

• Bust 35.5 (38, 40.5, 45, 48.5)"/90 (96.5, 102.5, 114, 123)cm

• Length 22 (22.5, 23, 25, 25.5)"/56 (57, 58.5, 63.5, 64.5)cm

• Upper arm 12 (12.5, 13, 13.5, 14)"/30.5 (31.5, 33, 34, 35.5)cm

MATERIALS

• 11 (12, 13, 15, 16) 1.75oz/50g balls (each approx 120yd/110m) of Adrienne Vittadini/JCA Sara (wool/mohair/nylon) in #1531 purple

• Size 10.5 (6.5mm) circular needles, 24" and 16"/60 and 40cm long OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

• Size 7 (4.5mm) circular needle, 16"/40cm long

• Stitch holders and markers

GAUGE

13 sts and 17 rows = 4"/10cm over St st using size 10.5 (6.5mm) needles.

FOR PERFECT FIT, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

Note

1 When working in rnds, knit every rnd.

2 Use 2 strands of yarn held together for body, sleeves and yoke. Use 1 strand for collar.

BODY

With longer size 10.5 (6.5mm) needle and 2 strands of yarn held tog, cast on 140 (148, 156, 170, 182) sts. Join, taking care not to twist sts on needle. Place markers for beg and center of rnd, and slip markers every rnd. Work in St st for 3"/7.5cm. Next (dec) rnd K2, k2tog, SSK, k4, k2tog, work to last 4 sts of rnd, SSK, k2. Rep dec rnd every 8th rnd 5 times more—116 (124, 132, 146, 158) sts. Work even until piece measures 15 (15, 15, 16, 16)"/38 (38, 38, 40.5, 40.5)cm from beg. Next 2 rnds Work to last 3 (4, 5, 4, 4) sts of rnd, bind off 6 (8, 10, 8, 8) sts, work to 3 (4, 5, 4, 4) sts of center marker, bind off 6 (8, 10, 8, 8) sts, work to end of rnd. Place rem sts on a holder.

SLEEVES

With shorter size 10.5 (6.5mm) needle and 2 strands of yarn held tog, cast on 38 (40, 42, 44, 46) sts. Join, taking care not to twist sts on needle. Place marker for beg of rnd and slip marker every rnd. Work in St st for 18"/45.5cm. Next 2 rnds Work to last 4 sts of rnd, bind off 8 sts, work to end of rnd, place rem sts on a holder.

YOKE

K across 30 (32, 34, 36, 38) sts of first sleeve, pm, 52 (54, 56, 65, 71) sts of front, pm, 30 (32, 34, 36, 38) sts of 2nd sleeve, pm, 52 (54, 56, 65, 71) sts of back—164 (172, 180, 202, 218) sts. Pm for beg of rnd. K 3 rnds. Next (dec) rnd K2, k2tog, [work to 4 sts before next marker, SSK, k4, k2tog] 3 times, work to last 4 sts of rnd, SSK, k2. Rep dec rnd every other rnd 9 (10, 11, 13, 15) times more—84 (84, 84, 90, 90) sts. Bind off.

COLLAR

With smaller circular needle and 1 strand of yarn, cast on 64 sts. Join,
