1 skein brown tweed

Size 8 (5 mm) knitting needles (or size required for gauge)
Yarn needle
GAUGE
16 sts = 4" (10.16 cm) in garter stitch (knit every row)
STITCH GUIDE
K: knit
P: purl
INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 32 stitches.
Border One
Row 1: *K2, P2; repeat from * across.
Repeat Row 1 of Border One until piece measures 1 1/2" (3.81 cm).
Body
Row 1: Knit across.
Repeat Row 1 of Body until piece measures 19 1/2" (49.53 cm).
Border Two
Row 1: *K2, P2; repeat from * across.
Repeat Row 1 of Border Two until both borders are the same size, and the total piece measures 21" (53.34 cm).
FINISHING
Bind off all stitches. With right sides facing, fold the knitting in half from top to bottom, meeting the two borders. Sew both long seams. Weave in all ends. Turn right side out.
