FAIR ISLE NOTE : In working the 2 colour Fair isle rows, note that when changing over from one colour wool to the other they should be twisted over each other on wrong side of work, to avoid leaving a hole in the knitting. Note also that a separate ball of the D wool is used for knitting each of the three bird designs, to avoid carrying the D wool across from one bird to the other, but always while working with the D wool you should hold the L wool in left hand and loosely carry it along on wrong side of work to the next position required. In order to prevent it forming loose loops during tht process, twist the D wool over itoccasionally.
