TO MAKE UP: Press work on the wrong side. Using a small back stitch sew up shoulder seams. Press seams open.
Neck Border: With right side of work facing. using M.C. and No. 4 needles neatly pick up and knit 52, (56 : 60 : 64 :68) sts. round neck edge. Work 6 rows from Graph No. 1 ending on the right side of work.
Next row: Using M.C. only PI, (Y.R.N., P2 tog.) rep. ending Pl.
Next row: Knit.
Next row: Purl.
Rep. last 2 rows until 6 rows. Cast off loosely knitwise on the next row.
TO FINISH OFF: Using a small back stitch sew up sleeve seams. Press seams. Pin border to front edge 3 sts, in from edge of the border and firmly back stitch tog. Press seam. Pin the excess 3 sts. of the border down on the wrong side covering the seam and slip stitch down as this will assist in firming the front edges. Pin sleeves into armholes with 4 rows of the sleeve extending beyond armhole edge. Seam edges tog. Press seams. Sew the I inch extension of sleeves over seams down on to the wrong side. Fold neck border in half and slip stitch down and oversew ends. Lightly press neck border. Sew on buttons.
